So much to be thankful for...

Not just today but everyday we have so much to be thankful for. I am so thankful that we have such wonderful loving family and friends, for this pregnancy, our health, home, jobs and so much more it is a endless list.

On this Thanksgiving I am looking forward to spending time with family. It is seldom that we get good quality family time, with the rush of the season. I am really going to try and embrace it all this year. We also are going to surprise daddy's relatives with the big news, they do not know about you yet!

I am thankful that I can cook! I made artichoke spinach dip and oatmeal chocolate chip cookies last night for today's festivities. I can tell you already the cookies are good, there might have been a couple extra... :o)

On a good note I started taking Zofran yesterday a anti-nausea prescription and it seems to be helping. Which means all of the Thanksgiving food will be enjoyed!

No pain no gain...

Morning sickness and nausea is suppose to start tapering off at the end of the first trimester...thank God! Monday will be our 12 week point, which means this is the last week in the first trimester. I would be lying if I said I wasn't looking forward to it.Not only because of the sickness, but also because your are growing each week.

This morning your daddy and I were talking and all of a sudden the "feeling" struck and I ran out of the room. I am not sure your dad knows what to think of all of this, but I do know he is looking forward to me feeling better too :o)

I have my fingers crossed that I will be able to enjoy all the great Thanksgiving Day dishes next week!

Surprise!

Your daddy and I had gone out to dinner on a Saturday, after dinner I was not feeling well. When we got home I went to bed, the next morning I woke up feeling okay. For some reason after work on Monday, September 26 I felt the inclination to buy a pregnancy test. When I got home I told your dad that I was not feeling 100% and was going to take the test. It didn't take long and two pink lines revealed themselves.

I was in shock... I came down stairs where your dad was working and told him the news, he was very surprised too. I still was not convinced, so I took a second test. As you can see that test was positive as well!

Your dad and I are very excited about your arrival. We have talked many times about wanting children and god has decided to bless us with you.

The flowers and card are from your dad, he brought them home the day after we found out the big news. He is so thoughtful, he is going to be a great daddy.

Currently you are 9 weeks, we had a ultrasound appointment yesterday. The appointment was wonderful it made things feel like more of a reality. You were just floating around waving your arms. Dr. Archer is going to be our doctor, hopefully she is the one that gets to deliver you too. Your estimated arrival date is June 5, 2012. If you are a week late you might be born on mommy and daddies wedding anniversary.

(Your head is at the bottom of the picture, you a currently the size of a grape)

Here is my first belly picture... well there isn't much of a belly. I have actually lost some weight due to morning sickness. But no worries the doctor says this is normal and there is no reason for concern. I can't wait to watch you grow.
